Suffolk
League II Championships -
Imani McGhee, Danielle Rowe & All Three Relays
Win!!!
Half
way through the meet, Northport was up 71-51.
The Marauders knew they had some good events at
the end of the meet, but this is a short meet,
which makes it tough to run two and three events.
Depth is very important and it is a true indication
of how good a team is! Bay Shore scored in every
event, including 52 points in the last four events
to pull away from our rivals Northport. Team scores:

Millrose Qualifier -
Bay
Shore Girls 4 x 400 meter relay qualified for
the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden on
January 29, 2010. The team of Darleen Eiermann,
Sara Andrade, Aasha Jackson, and Danielle Rowe
ran 4:03.74 at the Armory on 1/13/10. The Long
Island Girls 4 x 400 meter relay qualifiers included
Bay Shore, Brentwood, Manhasset, Garden City,
Baldwin and Levittown.
Jim Mitchell Meet-
The Jim Mitchell Meet was our third meet
of the season, and easily our best! Outstanding
results for this early season meet. Darleen Eiermann
continued her outstanding running with a convincing
win in the 600 meter run. Her time of 1:41.1 is
a pb for Darleen. Sara Andrade also ran a pb in
placing 3rd with a time of 1:43.0.
Crossover A Results -
The 2009-10 season started with a strong showing
from the defending Suffolk County Champions –
Bay Shore High School Girls. As a matter of fact,
the Bay Shore Girls have won the last nine Suffolk
County Championships. We had several winning performances
at the first Crossover Meet. Darleen Eiermann
1:44.2 and Danielle Rowe 1:45.4 went 1-2 in the
600 3rd in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of
9.6. Newcomer Essence Rogers placed 2 nd in the
55 meter dash with a time of 7.8. In the long
jump, veteran Alexis Barrau (only a 10th grader)
won with a very good season opening 15’11
ö ”. Imani McGhee was 2nd jumping a
pb 15’9 ø ”. This could be
the best 1-2 punch in the county! In the 300 meter
dash, Essence Rogers placed 5 th with a time of
46.0. In the 1500 meter run, Lindsay Arcuri placed
4th with a time of 5:11.7. In the high Jump, Darleen
Eiermann and Mariah Seignious tied for 3rd jumping
4’8”. In the 800 meter walk, Destiny
Lalane placed 2nd with a pb 3:37.7, about 23 seconds
faster than a year ago! For
