Mid-Season Update
After 7 matches, the team is 2 - 5
having beaten Brentwood and Ward Melville. Losses
to Ward Melville, Smithtown West, Sachem North,
Hauppauge, and East Islip. Rained out on 4/28
and 4/29. Team needs to finish 8 - 6 or better
to qualify for the Suffolk County tournament.
Top-Ranked Westhampton Finishes the Marauders

No. 1 ranked Westhampton defeated No. 16 Bay
Shore 6-1 in the first round of playoffs. In
first singles, Westhampton's Allie Harding defeated
Betsy Brunton 6-1, 6-1 to lead Westhampton over
the Marauders.
Hoffman & Ettinger Make a Difference -
Bay Shore's Ali Hoffman and Elaine
Ettinger beat Bridget Verdillo and Kerri Amber,
4-6, 6-2, 7-5 in the deciding match at third
doubles to obtain the win over West Islip.
Powerhouse Sayville Takesdown Bay Shore 5-2-
Sayville, who is undefeated with a
8-0 record, defeated the Marauders 5-2 in the
a regular season match. Bay Shore falls to 3-4
League III, Division II.
Bay Shore Edges West Islip 4-3 -
Senior Sarah Baker and junior Grace
Wood beat Christine Ibrihim and Sheri Hellberg,
6-2, 6-2, in the deciding match at second doubles
to lead Bay Shore over the Lions 4-3.
Marauders Win Two Straight -
Bay Shore defeated Connetquot 6-1 on
October 3rd and East Islip 4-3 on October 5th
to win two straight. Bay Shore swepted the T-Birds
this season and split with East Islip. The Marauders
improve to 5-8 on the season.
Bayport-Blue Point Tops Bay Shore 4-3 -
The Marauders were edged 4-3 in a tight
match against Bayport/Blue Point. Stickney beat
Jodi Wolfthal, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), in the deciding
match at fourth singles for Bayport-Blue Point.
Islip Downs Marauders -
Bay Shore falls short 4-3 against Islip on October
1st. It was a heartbreaker as the Marauders
lost the deciding match in third doubles 6-4,
3-6, 2-6.
Bay Shore Back on Track -
After a five-match skid the Marauders
came out strong and knocked off South Hampton
6-1 in non-league action. Bay Shore will look
to keep the wins coming on October 1st when
they travel to Islip for a 4:00 pm match.
East Hampton/Bridgehampton Dominates Over Bay
Shore 5-1-
The combination of East Hampton &
Bridgehampton defeated the Marauders 5-1 in
a non-league competition on Wednesday, September
26th.
Marauders Drop Fourth Straight Match -
Sayville gave Bay Shore their fourth
straight loss of the season in a close 4-3 win.
Bay Shore is next in action on Wednesday, September
26th as they try to put their four game skid
to a halt against East Hampton.
Bay Shore Loses Heartbreaker to West Islip 4-3-
The Lions came to play as they traveled
to Bay Shore in a league game. Kristin Richards
led the way for West Islip defeating Cassaundra
Oliver, 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, in fourth singles in
a two hour and 40 minute-match. Bay Shore is
next in action Monday, September 24th.
Marauders Fall to Hills West 4-3 -
Bay Shore lost a tough heartbreaker
4-3 against Half Hallow Hills West on Wednesday,
September 19th on the 'Hills home court. The
Marauders look to redeem themselves tomorrow
when they host West Islip.
Redmen Rock Bay Shore 6-1-
East Islip blew out Bay Shore 6-1 in
a league match on Tuesday, September 18th. East
Islip's Molly Mclean won in first singles ,
6-0, 6-3.
Ettinger Solid for Bay Shore-
Senior Elaine Ettinger led the Marauders
to a 6-1 win over Connetquot in a make up match
from September 11th. Ettinger, in third singles,
defeated Eden Tumer, 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 to solidify
the victory. Bay Shore is next in action tomorrow,
September 18th when they travel to East Islip.
Islip Beats Bay Shore 4-3-
The Marauders dropped a game to Islip in the
second game of the season. Islip's Maggie Lessing
beat Cassandra Oliver, 6-0, 6-2, in the deciding
match in fourth singles.
