Northport defeated Bay Shore 5-0 on a rainy Wednesday, October 28th day. Northport improves to 8-3-1 in League II. Goalie Marissa Brightman stopped 10 shots on goal.

Marauder forward Caroline DeLyra scored off of an assist by Aracely Romero. Goalies Yesica Alberto (4), Carla Alberto (4), Caroline DeLyra (3) and Angelica Horne (1) combined for 12 saves for Bay Shore.

Brentwood Squeezes Past Bay Shore -
The Indians' Jocelyn Maldonado scored the game-winner with 15:32 left in the second half to lift Brentwood over Bay Shore 5-4 on Saturday, October 17th. Bay Shore's Aracely Romero and Caroline DeLyra each had two goals and an assist for Bay Shore. Brentwood improves to 8-4 with the non-league win.

Newfield Wins Big -
Newfield's offense proved to be strong scoring six goals in the first half and two more in the second to defeat Bay Shore 8-2 on Thursday, October 15th. The Marauders were led on offense by Jessica Fornieri and Nicole Clemente who both recorded one goal apiece. Aracely Romero had two assists on the day. On defense, the Marauders were led by Chelsea Cook and Paige Leggio who both had five saves in the goal. Fornieri and Clemente had some time in the goal adding four saves three saves respectively.

The Marauders were trying out goalies combining for 15 saves on the day against the second place team in league II, West Islip. Jesscia Fornieri scored for Bay Shore and Kristin Seiferth received the assist on that goal.

Emily Jones, Megan McNulty and Stephanie Morini each scored a goal for Sachem North. Marauder forward Caroline DeLyra recorded a goal as Bay Shore falls to 0-7. Amber Atkins and Chelsea Cook played tough defense, while Paige Leggio and Jessica
Fornieri played well in the midfield for the Marauders.

Freshmen Carla Alberto and Aracely Romero both scored goals for Bay Shore. Netminder Marissa Brightman had 11 saves for the Marauders.

Brightman Saves a Career High 24 -
Rookie goalie Marissa Brightman recorded 24 saves on net as the Connetquot offense unleashed winning 5-1 on Monday, October 5th. The Lady Thunderbirds scored three in the first half and two in the second, while the Marauders hit the back of the net in the second half for their lone goal. Sophomore Caroline DeLyra scored for the Marauders off an assist from sophomore Kristin Seiferth. Connetquot improves to 4-1-1 in League II.

The Marauders couldn't contain Newfield's Dana Galli who scored four straight goals in a 5-0 win over Bay Shore on Friday, September 25th. Newfield improves to (4-1, 2-0) in League II. Marauder goalie Marissa Brightman recorded eight saves in the loss.

Brightman Saves 18 for Bay Shore -
Junior goalie Marissa Brightman recorded a career high 18 saves in goal for Bay Shore in a 7-0 loss to West Islip. The Lions offense was unstoppable which created plenty of shots on goal for the Marauders' rookie netminder. Kelsey Raschke had one goal and two assists to lead West Islip.

After a scoreless first half, Sachem North managed to score on a header off a corner kick with 4:50 left in the game to win it for Sachem North. The defensive unit of Marissa Brightman (GK, Marauder Player of the Game), Amber Atkins, Chelsea Cook, Brianna Harrison, and Codi Price all played extremely hard and kept Bay Shore in the game. The 'Arrows get their first win in League II, while Bay Shore falls to 0-1.

DeLyra Named MVP of the Marauder Classic -
Caroline DeLyra was named MVP as she scored two goals and had one assist. DeLyra lead Bay Shore over Babylon 3-2 on the championship game of the Marauder Classic. Paige Leggio added one goal and Nicole Clemente added an assist in the win as Bay Shore improves to 2-0 on the season. Amber Atkins and Chelsea Cook played stellar defense to hold off a late Babylon surge. Goalie Marissa Brightman had a career high 15 saves in the net for the Marauders.

Marauder Classic Tournament -
Bay Shore Blows Out Central Islip -
The Marauders defeated the Central Islip 6-0 in the first round of the Marauder Classic Tournament on Monday, September 14th. Forwards Caroline DeLyra scored two goals and Ashley Gordon-Edwards added a goal and an assist for Bay Shore. Gaolie Marissa Brightman recorded two saves on the day and Carla Alberto had one save on the day. Bay Shore will take on Babylon in the championship match Tuesday, September 15th at 5:30 pm.

Babylon Wins in a Thriller -

The game came down to penalty kicks where Babylon outscored Longwood 8-7 for the victory in the first round of the Bay Shore Tournament. Halley Stewart scored her second goal with 1:34 left in regulation for Babylon to tie the score at two. Brianna Munoz scored twice for Longwood. Babylon (1-0) plays the winner of Bay Shore-Central Islip in the final at 5:30 p.m. at Bay Shore.
 College Committments - Alumni Addition
~ Amber Atkins has committed to Suny New Paltz, New Paltz, NY. Atkins will play soccer for the Hawks.

* Brittany Silipo was named East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive time. Brittany has started all 6 games for Queens College and has 3 goals and 1 assist so far.
* Stephanie DiLegge led Mercy with two goals on 9/9 as the women's soccer team tallied its first win of the season 5-1 over the visiting Maritime Privateers. Stephanie has started all 4 games for Mercy this season. She returns to Long Island on Saturday, September 19 to face Dowling College at 1pm.
* Jasmyne Spencer, who scored goals in each of the two preseason games for Maryland, scored her first career goal on 8/21 vs. Army. She finished the ball from 12 yards out past Army goalkeeper Alex Lostetter and into the top right corner.
* Jasmyne scored two goals to lift the University of Maryland women's soccer team to a 2-0 start to the 2009 season with a 2-1 victory at Fordham on 8/23. Spencer was able to use her speed to separate from her defender and bury a low shot from 20 yards out.
* Jasmyne added an assist on 9/1 vs. Loyola
* Jasmyne lifted the University of Maryland women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory at American on 9/9. Spencer has started all seven games and Maryland is 7-0 on the season.
