Powerhouse
West Babylon Downs Bay Shore 2-0
After a scoreless first half, No. 3
ranked West Babylon pushed two goals in the
second half to defeat No. 6 ranked Bay Shore
2-0 in the first round of the playoffs. West
Babylon improves to 15-2 with the win and advances
to the Suffolk Class A quarterfinal. Kelly Weisenseel
had one save for her eighth shutout of the season
and her counterpart goalie Justina Syrett recorded
14 saves for the Marauders. West Babylon will
play at second-seeded Ward Melville in a semifinal
on Monday at 2 p.m.

Marauders Shutout Bulldogs -
Bay Shore came out firing in the second
half scoring all three goals to down Lindenhurst
3-0 on Tuesday, October 27th. Sarah Fuchs had
a goal and two assists. Justina Syrett made
five saves for her fourth shutout of the season.

West Babylon was led by senior Courtney
Baranek scored a career-high four goals to top
Bay Shore 4-1 on Thursday, October 22nd. Bay
Shore took the early lead as Sarah Fuchs scored
in the first half. However, the Eagles scored
all four of their goals in the second half running
away with the win. Marauder goalie Justina Syrett
recorded 15 saves on the day.

The Marauders defeated Patchogue-Medford 4-1
on Tuesday, October 20th. Junior Sarah Fuchs
had two goals and two assists to lead Bay Shore.
Megan Corcoran and Sam Griswold both tallied
one goal and goalie Justina Syrett recorded
eight saves on the day.

Shore Drop Both Games to East Islip -
The Marauders lost to the Lady Redmen
6-3 on a rainy and cold Friday, October 16th
day. Earlier in the season, Bay Shore dropped
a heartbreaker to East Islip 2-1 in penalty
strokes, but today would be different. Kaitlin
Panzer who had two goals led East Islip's
offense as they improve to 4-6 this year.
Goalie Justina Syrett had 14 saves for Bay
Shore, while teammate Sarah Fuchs notched
two goals.

Senior Olivia George had two goals,
one assist, scoring her first varsity goals
to lead Bay Shore over Babylon 5-1 on Thursday,
October 15th. Bay Shore improves to 6-4 in
Division II.

Sayville Slips Past Bay Shore -
The Marauders tied the game in the
second half but Sayville managed notch another
goal to top Bay Shore 3-2 on Tuesday, October
13th. The Marauders were led by Sarah Fuchs
who recorded both goals and Claire Healy recorded
an assist on the day. Goalie Justina Syrett
had a career high 25 saves on the day as Sayville
improves to 9-1 in Division II. Bay Shore
is sitting in the middle of the division in
7th place.

Penalty Strokes Key For Bay Shore -
The Marauders defeated West Islip
in penalty strokes after a scoreless regulation
and overtime game on Thursday, October 8th.
Bay Shore outscored the Lady Lions 3-2 in
penalty strokes for the Division II victory.
Sarah Fuchs and Erin Corcoran each scored
on strokes and Claire Healy scored the winning
goal on a stroke to lead Bay Shore. Justina
Syrett had 10 saves including three saves
against strokes as Bay Shore improves to 5-3
on the season.

Marauders Win a Thriller in Overtime -
Bay Shore earned their fourth win
of the season with a 1- 0 victory over Lindenhurst
in overtime. Sophomore Erin Corcoran scored
with 6:11 left in overtime off a feed from
junior Sarah Fuchs to lead Bay Shore. Goalie
Justina Syrett stopped three shots for the
shutout. The Marauders improve to 4-3, while
the Bulldogs fall to 3-4 in Division II.

The Marauders scored three goals
in the second half to takedown Patchogue-Medford
3-0 on Wednesday, September 30th. Junior Sarah
Fuchs had two goals and one assist to lead
Bay Shore (3-2) in Division II. Junior Jill
Defina assisted on Fuchs final goal of the
afternoon for her first varsity assist. Dana
Roman made 22 saves for Pat-Med and her counterpart
Justina Syrett tallied five saves on the day
for Bay Shore.

Bay Shore Drops A Thriller in Penalty Strokes

East Islip defeated Bay Shore 2-1
on penalty strokes after a scoreless overtime
on Friday, September 25th. The Marauders got
on the board in the first half when sophomore
Donna Vickers scored on an assist from senior
Sam Griswold. The Lady Redmen tied the game
in the second half with 14:20 remaining in
regulation to eventually send the game into
overtime. East Islip's Michelle Jack scored
the winning goal on strokes for the win as
the Lady Redmen improve to (3-1) in Division
II. Senior goalie Justina Syrett tallied 11
saves for Bay Shore.

Fuchs Leads Bay Shore -
Junior Sarah Fuchs led the Marauders
to a 3-1 victory over Babylon on Wednesday,
September 23rd. Fuchs scored the first of
two goals with 15:37 left in the second half
to give Bay Shore a 2-1 lead. Erin Corcoran
had a goal and an assist and goalkeeper Justina
Syrett had eight saves.

The Marauders fell short to Sayville
3-0 on Monday, September 21st. Sayville remains
undefeated at 2-0 while Bay Shore slides to
1-3 on the season. Goalie Justina Syrett had
a season high 13 saves for Bay Shore. The
Marauders are next in action on September
23rd when they travel to Babylon for a 4:00
pm game.

Syrett Saves Six for Bay Shore -
The Marauders down West Islip 2-1
on Thursday, September 17th. :Goalie Justina
Syrett had six saves in the goal to lead Bay
Shore to their first win of the season. Claire
Healy scored what proved to be the game-winner
on an assist from Erin Corcoran with 16:12
left in the first half to give Bay Shore a
2-1 lead. Bay Shore improves to 1-0 in Division
II. Corcoran had two assists on the day. West
Islip is 0-1.

Comsewogue defeated Bay Shore 2-0
on Monday, September 14th. After a scoreless
first half, Bay Shore gave up two goals at
the 7:42 mark and with 1:05 left to provide
the final margin. Bay Shore's gaolie Justina
Syrett made six saves in the net.

Bay Shore Drops Season Opener -
Smithtown East defeated Bay Shore 4-0 on Saturday,
September 12th in their season opener. Marauder
goalie Courtney Alberto, in her varsity debut,
stopped 10 shots on goal. Coach Drago said,
"Today was a good start for our young
team. We have a lot to learn and work on this
season, and so many new players showed a lot
of potential." The Marauders are next
in action on Monday, September 14th when they
host Comsewogue at 4:00 pm.
