Bay Shore Fall in First Round of the Playoffs -
No. 9 Eastport-South Manor defeated No. 8 Bay Shore 3-1 on Friday, November 6th in the first round of the Suffolk County Class AA playoffs. The Marauders couldn't contain Eastport's Matt Tutino who had 20 kills and Brendan Tutino who had 10 kills. Eastport-South Manor (11-6) heads to No. 1 Half Hollow Hills on Monday.

Marauders Finish Patriots -
Bay Shore defeated Ward Melville 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21) on Thursday, October 29th. Chris Cruz had 17 kills and six blocks and Connor Duddy added 23 assists and four digs as the Marauders improve to 9-6.

Bay Shore Rolls Over Comsewogue -
The Marauders defeated Comsewogue 3-0 on Tuesday, October 27th. Senior Chris Cruz had 13 kills and five blocks and senior Alex Viera had seven kills and 15 assists to lead Bay Shore (8-6) 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

Marauders Beat Patriots in Five -
Bay Shore in a must win situation won 32-30 in the fourth game to force a game five. The Marauders took the fifth game for a 3-2 win over Ward Melville on Saturday, October 24th. Chris Cruz had 21 kills and Nat Racanelli added 14 kills.for Bay Shore in a 23-25, 26-24, 16-25, 32-30, 25-20 win. The Marauder are next in action when they travel to Comsewogue on October 27th for a 4:30 pm match time.

Smithtown West Shutout Bay Shore -
The Marauders were no match for Smithtown West as they got beat 3-0 on Thursday, October 22nd. Bay Shore lost by scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-17, as Smithtown West improves to 10-2 on the season.


Bay Shore Blanks Central Islip -
The Marauders defeated Central Islip 3-0 on Monday, October 19th. Senior Chris Cruz had 10 kills and six aces and sophomore Peter Gensen added eight kills and five aces for Bay Shore in a 25-14, 25-17, 25-23 win.

Flamming Arrows Down Bay Shore -
Sachem North improves to 8-2 on the season with a 3-0 win over the Marauders on Friday, October 16th. Bay Shore was close to taking the second match but felt short 25-23, dropping their record to 5-5 on the season.

Marauders Eliminate Hauppauge -
Bay Shore defeated the Eagles 3-2 by scores of 25-16, 19-25, 25-10, 19-25, 25-19 on Tuesday, October 13th. Senior hitter Chris Cruz had 16 kills and five blocks for Bay Shore and teammate senior hitter Alex Viera added 12 kills and 16 assists. The Marauders are 5-4 on the season.

Bay Shore 'Cruz's' Past Shoreham WR -
Senior Chris Cruz had 11 kills and four aces to lead the Marauders over Shoreham-Wading River 3-0 on Friday, October 2nd. Bay Shore won by scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-22. Senior Billy Cunningham added seven kills and three aces as Bay Shore improves to 4-2 with the win.

DiGiovani Assists Bay Shore -
Junior James DiGiovani had 26 assists to lead Bay Shore over Huntington 3-0 on Tuesday, September 29th. Sophomore Peter Jensen had eight kills, two aces and three blocks as Bay Shorewho by scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-7. The Marauders are 3-2 on the season.

Smithtown Beats Bay Shore -
The Marauders could not contain Tyler Donofrio who had 15 kills to lead Smithtown East over Bay Shore 3-0. Smithtown East remains undefeated at 4-0 with the 25-23, 25-23, 25-21 win over Bay Shore.

Bay Shore Takes Down Center Moriches -
The Marauders downed Center Moriches 3-0 on Tuesday, September 22nd at home. Bay Shore was led by senior Alex Viera who had 14 kills. Teammate junior James DiGiovani had 36 assists as Bay Shore won by scores of 25-18, 25-23, and 25-20. The Marauders improve to 2-1 on the season.

Hills West Beats Bay Shore -

Half Hollow Hills West defeated Bay Shore 3-1 on Wednesday, September 16th. After Hills took the first game 25-15, Bay Shore came back to take the second game 25-21 but then HHH West took the next two game 25-16 and 25-11 for the win. Bay Shore is next in action on September 22nd when they host Center Moriches at 6:15 pm.


Cruz Leads Bay Shore Over Sayville -
Senior Chris Cruz had 18 kills and seven aces to lead Bay Shore over Sayville on September 10th. Senior Steven Modula added nine kills and three blocks. The Marauders improve to (1-0) with the 25-19, 23-25, 25-10, 25-20 win.

College Committment

 

Alex Viera will be attending Johnson and Wales Providence, Rhode Island, in the fall of 2010. Viera will be playing volleyball for the Wildcats.
