Marauder Award Winners-
At the conclusion of a great season, three Bay Shore seniors were named All County and two other athletes were All County Honorable Mention. Outside hitter Sam Wood, the reliable setter Michael Dauernheim and great defender Paul Posillico were all named All County for the 2007 season. Gaining Honorable Mention were seniors T.J. Harper and Brett Voges. Rounding out the awards were sophomore Chris Cruz and senior Jeffrey Stubbings who were named All Division. Congratulations to all members of the Boys Volleyball team for a successful season.

No. 4 Ward Melville Knocks Off No. 5 Marauders -
The Patriots were led by John Farrell had 14 kills for No. 4 Ward Melville in a 25-13, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21 win over No. 5 Bay Shore in the quarterfinals. Ward Melville took the first match easily 25-13. Bay Shore closed the gap in the second but found themselves short 25-20. The Marauders responded in the third winning 25-22 before dropping the fourth match 25-21. Ward Melville plays No. 1 Hauppauge at 4:30 p.m on Wednesday at Bay Shore in the semifinals.

Marauders Advance to Suffolk Quarterfinals -
No. 5 Bay Shore ended No. 12 Huntington/Harborfields season with a 3-0 victory. Senior Sam Wood had 18 kills in the 25-21, 25-14, 25-18 win in the first round of the Suffolk County championships. Bay Shore will take on host Ward Melville on Monday at 5 p.m.

Seniors Lead Bay Shore Over T-Birds 3-1-
Senior Sam Wood had 17 kills to lead Bay Shore over Connetquot on senior day (25-18, 25-16, 20-25, 25-23). Senior setter Mike Dauernheim had 42 assists and senior hitter Jeff Stubbings added 14 digs in the victory.

Bay Shore Downs Smithtown West 3-1-
After dropping the first match 16-25, the Marauders responded by taking the next three matches to top Smithtown West 3-1. Sam Wood recorded 14 kills, Paul Posillico who had 12 kills and Jeffrey Stubbings had 7 digs. Bay Shore improves to 11-3 and Smithtown falls to 9-4.

Marauders Shutout Huntington/Harborfields 3-0 -
Senior Sam Wood had 22 kills in the 3-0 win over Huntington/Harborfields. Bay Shore knocked off their opponent 25-22, 25-22, 25-19 to improve to 10-3 on the season. The Marauders have two more regular season games left.

Powerhouse Hauppauge Blanks Bay Shore -
Undefeated and League I leader Hauppauge defeated the Marauders 3-0 on Monday, October 22nd. The Eagles won the first match easily 25-16, the second match was closer at 25-20 and Bay Shore did not go down easy in the third match going 27-25. Hauppauge improves to 11-0, 14-1 overall and Bay Shore falls to 7-2, 10-3 overall.

Bay Shore Stellar Over Sachem East -

Senior Sam Wood had 16 kills and six aces for Bay Shore in its 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 25-17 win over Sachem East. Sophomore Chris Cruz added 11 kills and senior Mike Dauernheim had 37 assists for Bay Shore.

Eastport No Match For Bay Shore -
The Marauders defeated Eastport/South Manor in three games 25-23, 25-13, 25-19 for the 3-0 win. Sophomore Chris Cruz had nine kills and senior Sam Wood had ten kills in a win for Bay Shore. Senior T.J. Harper added six blocks for Bay Shore.

Dauernheim Assists Bay Shore in Win -
Senior setter Mike Dauernheim had 40 assists to lead Bay Shore in its 22-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-15 win over East Hampton. Bay Shore's Sam Wood had 15 kills and Chris Cruz had ten kills and six blocks to improve to 7-2 overall.

Lindenhurst Upsets Bay Shore 3-2-
Lindenhurst, who is in 12th place in League I, upset Bay Shore who was previously undefeated in five games. The Marauders took the first match 26-24 and the third match 25-20, but couldn't pull out a win in the second, fourth or five match losing 19-25, 21-25, and 20-25.

Marauders Slam Center Moriches 3-0 -
Senior Sam Wood had 13 kills and sophomore Chris Cruz had eight kills to lead the Marauders over Center Moriches 3-0. Cruz added seven aces in the 25-20, 25-16, 25-13 victory. Great defense was played by all in maroon and white.

Bay Shore "Cruz's" Over Comsewogue -
Sophomore Chris Cruz had 11 kills and senior Sam Wood had 10 for Bay Shore in its 25-11, 25-15, 25-20 win over Comsewogue. Senior setter Michael Dauernheim had 26 assists for Bay Shore.

Ward Melville No Match for Bay Shore -
The Marauders defeated Ward Melville 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 25-23) in league I action. Senior Sam Wood had 14 kills and Sophomore Chris Cruz added ten kills for Bay Shore. Senior setter Michael Dauernheim had 43 assists in the victory.

Marauders Stomp Westhampton 3-0 -
Sophomore Chris Cruz led the way for Bay Shore in a 3-0 shutout over Westhampton. Cruz had seven aces and eight kills in a 25-23, 25-15, 25-16 win. Senior Sam Wood had eight kills and senior Brett Voges had seven. The Marauders are currently in sixth place in League I standings.

Northport Drops Bay Shore -
The Marauders lost to Northport on their home floor 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 26-24, 25-1). The first three matches were tight but Northport turned it on in the fourth match blowing out Bay Shore 25-1 to complete the victory.

Wood Leads Bay Shore to 3-0 Win Over Whitman -

Senior outside hitter Sam Wood had 15 kills to lead the Marauders to a 3-0 victory over Walt Whitman. Teammate senior setter Michael Dauernheim had 38 assists in the 25-11, 25-17, 25-20 victory. Bay Shore improves to 3-0 on the season.

Bay Shore Takes Care of Central Islip 3-0 -
The Marauders win their second game of the season defeating Central Islip 25-13, 25-17, and 25-16. Seniors Paul Posillico and Sam Wood each had six kills to lead Bay Shore.

Dauernheim Dominates Against Sayville-
Senior setter Michael Dauernheim had 31 assists for Bay Shore in a 25-11, 25-10, 25-8 win over Sayville. Sophomore Chris Cruz had nine kills and senior Sam Wood had six.

A Year In Review -
The 2005 season was a memorable one. The Marauders finished the season with a 6-10 record it their first year as a varsity team in three years. Bay Shore climbed from a 21st seed to a 16th seed. Most Valuable Player Honors went to lone senior Dan Lischak for outstanding play throughout the season.
