Islip Knocks Off Bay Shore -
The No. 5 Redmen defeated No. 12 ranked
Marauders 19-9 in the first round of the Suffolk
County Playoffs. The Bay Shore defense could not
contain East Islip's Mike Rooney who had five
goals and two assists in the win. Griffin Rock
led the Marauder offense with three goals and
two assists. Lucas Rock and Kevin Cox both found
the back of the net twice. The Redmen improve
to 13-4 and will play at No. 4 Connetquot on Tuesday
at 4 p.m.

Flood Saves the Day, Bay Shore Beats Cougars -
Junior goalie Jon Flood tallied 17 saves
in the net to lead Bay Shore over Commack, 17-8
on Monday, May 17th. Flood's career best was 24
saves against powerhouse West Islip on April 19th.
Junior Kevin Cox won 17 of 25 faceoffs and had
six assists and Junior Max Sheets had five goals
one assist for Bay Shore. Griffin Rock added four
goals and one assist and Kyle Gordon had four
goals in the win. The Marauders conclude the regular
season with a record of 6-8 in Division I.

Wildcats Scratch Bay Shore Senior Day -
The Walt Whitman Wildcats defeated Bay
Shore on senior day 13-5. Whitman took the early
6-4 lead heading into the half and held the Marauders
to only one goal in the third and fourth quarters.
Bay Shore was led by junior Brendan Gaine who
scored two goals and recorded an assist. Eighth-grader
Jake Sheets added two goals and sophomore Griffin
Rock scored a goal for the Marauders. Junior goalie
Jon Flood tallied 12 saves on the day. Bay Shore
will play their last regular season game on May
17th when they travel to Commack.

Bay Shore Back to Winning Ways -
The Marauders edged Riverhead 6-5 on
Tuesday, May 11th, ending the four-game losing
streak. Sophmore Pat Rainis scored what proved
to be the game-winning goal with 5:00 left to
give Bay Shore a 6-3 advantage Division I. Junior
Max Sheets and senior Kyle Gordon each had two
goals for Bay Shore. Jon Flood recorded five saves
in goal for the Marauders.

Marauders On Four Game Slide -
Bay Shore lost their fourth straight
game, 15-2 against Connetquot on Friday, April
7th. The T-Birds got out to an early 6-0 start
and continued to dominate throughout the game.
Bay Shore's Brendan Gaine recorded two goals on
the day and scored once in the second and third
quarter. Marauder goalies Jon Flood and Joe Volavka
both stopped 11 shots for a combined 22 saves.
Connetquot is 7th in the standings at (8-3) and
Bay Shore falls to tied for 14th at (4-7) in Division
I.

Colonials Climb Past Bay Shore -
William Floyd defeated Bay Shore 12-9
on Tuesday, May 4th on their home turf. Bay Shore
couldn't stop high scorer Ryan Payton as he scored
five goals to lead the Colonials. to a 6-4 record
in Division I. The Marauders were led by Griffin
Rock (3 goals) and Max Sheets (2 goals).

Bay Shore & Pat-Med Battle -
The score went back and forth as Bay
Shore and Pat-Med battled it out, but the Raiders
ended up on the winning end as they knocked off
the Marauders 8-6. Bay Shore took an early 2-1
lead after the first quarter, but let up five
goals in the second to trail 6-4 heading into
overtime. By the end of the third quarter the
game was tied at an even 6-6 until Pat-Med scored
two goals that they would not relinquish in the
fourth for the win. Bay Shore's Kevin Cox had
two goals and two assits and Griffin Rock added
two goals on the day as well.

Lions Down the Marauders -
West Islip defeated Bay Shore 12-4 on
Monday, April 19th. The Marauders couldn't stop
the powerhouse offense of the Lions nor could
they get a shot off with the tough Lion defense
as they were held scoreless in the first half.
Kevin Cox scored three of Bay Shore's four goals
and Kyle Gordor scored the other goal. Goalie
Jon Flood recorded a career high 24 saves on the
day. West Islip improves to (6-1) in Division
I.

Marauders Take Down Longwood -
Attackman Lucas Rock had three of his
four goals in a five-minute span during a 5-1
second quarter as Bay Shore topped the Lions 11-7.
Griffin Rock added three goals and Kevin Cox had
a goal and two assists in the win. Goalie Jon
Flood stopped 11 shots on net.

After losing two straight games, the
Marauders respond with a 19-6 win over the Indians.
Griffin Rock and Max Sheets each had four goals
and an assist to lead Bay Shore (2-2) in Division
I. Goalies Jon Flood (7) and Joe Volavka (1) combined
for 8 saves on the day. Kevin Cox added three
goals and three assists and Kyle Gordon had a
goal and five assists.

North exploded in the third quarter scoring seven
goals to knock off the Marauders 12-5 on Wednesday,
April 7th. Bay Shore's Max Sheets had two goals
and goalie Jon Flood recorded 16 saves in the
loss. Sachem North improves to 3-1 and the Marauders
fall to 3-1 in League I.

Bay Shore squeezed past West Babylon 7-6 on March
23rd. Griffin Rock recorded two goals and had
two assists, including a score with 3:16 left
in the third quarter to break a 5-5 tie. Max Sheets
(three goals, one assist) scored an important
insurance goal 47 seconds later to give Bay Shore
(1-0) a 7-5 lead in non-league. Rock tied the
score at 5 with 7:43 left in the third.
